National Honor Society welcomes new members: Photo of the Day 11/17/15
November 17, 2015
On November 17th 2015, 63 juniors and seniors were inducted into the National Honor Society Linganore chapter.
The ceremony was conducted by Mr. Dan Lake, Mrs. Beth Sands and the National Honor Society student officers, Marissa Maze, Justin Knotts, Olivia DuBro, Noah Garabedian, Madeline Wodaski, and Cassie Wheeles. After the Pledge and a welcome message, the four National Honor Society officers spoke of the National Honor Society’s key principles including scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Each officer explained one of the four principles and then lit a candle to signify the importance of the principle to the National Honor Society.
Lake led the inductees in a recitation of the National Honor Society Pledge. The officers proceeded to announce the name of each new member by reading short biographies that each student had written about themselves. This biography was read as the new member walked across the stage to shake hands with the principal, National Honor Society officers, and Mr. Lake who distributed a certificate to each inductee.

Because college is so expensive, scholarships are essential,” said Fenstermacher.
