In 24 hours, Mr. LHS 2015 will be crowned.  In its 17th year, Mr. LHS is the largest fundraiser to benefit the Rennaissance Program.  The theme is “It’s Graphic.”  In the past two weeks, with snow delays and cancellations, the contestants had just two dance rehearsals.  On Wednesday, they tried on their tuxedos and costumes.

The 2015 candidates are Casey Alvarado, Connor Bannon, Mike Fink, Jonathan Gober, Kyle Johnson, Brandon Kleinmann, Riley Mack, Robert Milburn, Dillon Mitcham, Evan Rowan, Shawn Verma, and Grant Waxter.

The candidates will be judged in different categories during the competition such as entrance (costumes provided by Gene’s Costumes),  formal wear (provided by Men’s Wearhouse), on-stage question, talent, and a ballroom dance.  For each category they are ranked 1-12 and receive points. They also receive points from Uno’s nights, selling tickets, and  mini-competitions that take place at lunch the week of the big competition.

At the end of the day, the top three candidates with the highest points will move on to the final round and answer a question that will help the judges decide who will win. Last year, the winner was Mark Shiderly.

Tickets are $10 at the door on Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m.
