The  New Market Volunteer Fire Company hosts an all-you-can-eat country style breakfast at the fireh all on the fourth Sunday of each month. The breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, biscuits, sausage, and bacon. Food is served from 7:00 a.m. to noon. The Pom and Dance team helps to serve the food and earns a portion of the proceeds from the event.

This month, the fire-hall got a special visit from Louie, a rescue dog who was ready to participate in firefighter activities. Marcia Mufford brought in her Boxer-Shepard  mix dressed in a full firefighter costume. The well-trained dog was fed and loved by children at the event.  Let’s face it.  Adults were delighted, too.

These breakfasts are bustling; they are full of mingling members of the community. While the volunteer company organizes the event, local groups volunteer to assist and earn a portion ofthe proceeds.

The poms team members work every breakfast helping the firefighters to clean tables, clear trays and trash, and refill condiments. The money the team receives is used toward transportation to competitions.

Come out and support the poms and firefighters:
