Monday, March 9, the boys varsity basketball team won their regional game with a score of 58-52 against Seneca Valley. The boys are 4-0 for their playoff games. In honor of winning the game the boys cut a piece of net to keep for themselves and to display with the plaque they received.  Video of the game is here.

This is a tradition started in college basketball that many other teams have decided to carry out. This tradition started in 1947 when the North Carolina State coach Everett Case, cut a piece of net intended as a souvenir.

Jack Staub was featured in the Frederick News Post highlighting his scoring of 34 points in the boys regional victory.

The boys are headed to their semifinal game at the University Of Maryland starting Thursday afternoon at 3:00. The school is arranging fan buses.
