On May 29th the class of 2015 came back to school to rehearse for their graduation Tuesday, June 2nd. The seniors arrived at 7:00 where they reunited with underclassmen friends and were served waffles by the Alumni Association, including members Skip Issacs, Curtis Lawson, Pam Grossnickle, and Karen Dotterer White.

Mrs. Wimmer who is also a Linganore graduate and head of the cafeteria organized the event.  The waffle breakfast before the graduation rehearsals is a yearly event that started in 1993, a year after the establishment of the Alumni Association.

Alumni member of the class of 1977 Karen Dotterer White said, “In addition to being a Linganore graduate, I am a Hood College graduate. Hood had a tradition of a Strawberry Breakfast for graduates, and I wanted to see Linganore do something similar.”

After the breakfast, the seniors went to the gym to begin the rehearsal.  The coming graduation is a relief for some while bittersweet for others.

Senior Devon Ertel said, “Graduating is just a small milestone on the path of life, but I’m sort of glad to be leaving.”
