Who will be Mr. Linganore 2015? Candidates wanted!
January 14, 2015
Prepare for “It’s Graphic,” the theme of this year’s Mr. LHS contest. The first meeting for all interested senior candidates is Friday, January 16 after school. Many seniors received a “red letter” invitation today, but any senior male who is interested is encouraged to participate.
Ultimately, a dozen senior boys will compete for the crown and title (and gift certificates from the Frederick Outback Steakhouse). Competitions include formal wear, talent, question/answer, dance and more.
The “It’s Graphic” theme means that each contestant will choose to represent a character from a graphic novel or cartoon. Past themes have incorporated storybook characters, Disney heroes, “Men of Mystery” and more. Last year’s winner was Mark Shiderly. Runners up included Jack Garabedian and Dan Beck.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Ticket information will be available mid-February. In addition, there will be fundraisers held at Uno’s in Frederick.
Volunteers will be needed to work behind the scenes.
If you are interested in competing or volunteering, contact the contest coordinators, Mr. Jeremy Brown ([email protected]) or Mrs. Natalie Rebetsky ([email protected]).
