Students planning on taking the AP exam in May, must have registration forms and payment in to Ms. Smith by February 20th. Students seeking accommodations for the exam must turn in their forms to the College Board by February 20th as well.

You may not realize it, but Linganore has the most sophisticated music technology labs of any high school in the state.  If you are interested in making music on computers, recording engineering, live sound, or acoustics, then our Integrated Music Technology class is for you.  This course is open to students in grades 10 through 12 and no prior music classes are required.  For more information, see Mr. Lloyd in D105.

Linganore Scholars, if you are interested in participating in the premier international academic competition, World Scholar’s Cup, please attend the MANDATORY meeting on Wednesday afternoon in room A221 at 2:30.  Teams will be created, rosters set, and materials will be distributed via the Google Drive, so be there if you want to participate.  There will also be a short meeting this Thursday to meet an organizer of the World Scholar’s Cup who is flying to Frederick from Abu Dhabi.  See Mr. Roberts for more information.

Percussion ensemble rehearsals will be begin this Thursday after school in the band room, from 2:45-5:00 pm

The Frederick County Co-op Ice Hockey teams (of which Linganore Ice Hockey is a part) are playing in the upcoming Regional playoffs. The JV Ice Hockey team plays on Friday, Feb 20, at 7:20 in the regional semi-finals at The Ice Gardens in Laurel. The Varsity Ice Hockey teams plays in the Regional Finals on Wednesday, February 18 at 7:10, here at home at Skate Frederick! We’d like to pack the ice house to show our support for our hockey players!! C’mon on out and cheer our teams to victory and to the state playoffs!

Tonight the lady lancer’s basketball teams travel to Tuscarora for a JV game that starts at 5:30 and the varsity games start at 7:00. Good luck ladies.

While here at home the men’s basketball team will be playing Tuscarora the JV game starts at 5:30 and varsity games starts at 7:00, please come out to cheer them on to a win.

Congratulations on a final win for the freshman girls basketball team last night against TJ with a score of 35-22. They ended the season with a 13 and 1 record. Great job ladies!
