Students planning on taking the AP exam in May must have registration forms and payment in to Ms. Smith by February 20th. Those who seek accommodations for the exam must turn in their forms to the College Board by February 20th.

Key club will be selling Valentine’s Day candy grams for $1 this week during all lunch shifts. Make sure to get one for your friend, or that special someone.

Have you ever wondered how the announcements are made? Have you ever thought about being a part of them? Registration is here so we encourage you to consider Digital Communications. Here’s a quick video that’ll give you an inside look at the class.

You may not realize it, but Linganore houses the most sophisticated music technology  labs in all of the state. If you are interested in creating music on computers, recording engineering, live sound, and acoustics, then Integrated Music Technology is the class for you. This course is open to grades 10 through 12 and no prior music classes are required. For more information see Mr. Lloyd in D105.

Congratulations to the LHS Pom and Dance Team who attended their first competition of the season this past Saturday at North Point High School.  Not only did the team place first in all three routines they took: Hip Hop, Short Pom and Lyrical, but the team also took the overall team award with the highest scoring routine of the day in all divisions!   Congratulations to the Harper Lindsay and Abigail Montgomery who took 1st Place Captains with their routines and Jenn Berardi who took 3rd Place captain.   The girls will head out this coming Saturday  to River Hill High school, where they will be competing in 5 different categories.   Good Luck Ladies!

And now for sports related news.Congratulations to the Varsity cheerleading team for qualifying for states on Saturday at their regional competition! Come out to cheer them on thursday night at North Point High School at 6 pm. See you there.

Our Boys Varsity basketball team beat Frederick High School last friday with a score of 80-76. Our Girls Varsity basketball team also took on Frederick last friday and won with a score of 55-51. Great job to both teams!

Finally,  congratulations to the varsity wrestling team for winning their tournament against Tuscarora on Saturday.
