A reminder to members of National English Honor Society (both current members and inductees) that there is an after school meeting in the auditorium from 2:30–3:00 pm TODAY, Wednesday, October 28th. The induction is Thursday at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.
Also, a reminder to all students who will be inducted into Mu Alpha Theta on Thursday evening that we have a very brief meeting immediately after school today in the auditorium. CURRENT members DO NOT need to attend this meeting, HOWEVER, current members are expected to attend the induction ceremony on Thursday. Please see Mrs. Purgason, if you have a conflict.
Students: There is a Model UN meeting today in Mr. Roberts’ room C208 from 2:20-3:30 pm.
Freshmen and sophomores are reminded that the Career and Technology Center’s Open House is tomorrow evening from6:00-8:00 pm. This is a great way to see all of the programs available. If you are interested in attending CTC next year, please sign up to shadow a program with Ms. Riley in Student Services.
If you are participating in the NAHS 5K Color Run/Walk, please turn in your registration form and payment as soon as possible. Paperwork will be collected during all lunch shifts, or you can turn it in directly to Ms. Geisser in room A207.
Students who are competing in ‘Poetry Out Loud’ but are NOT currently enrolled in an English class, please perform your poem to Ms. Scuffins by Friday, November 6th. You may visit Ms. Scuffins before or after school in room C207. Please bring a copy of your poem for the judging process. Good luck!

Do you like watching Jeopardy? Do you enjoy playing QuizUp or Trivia Crack? The LHS Academic Team is a group of students who compete against students from other schools in a team trivia tournament and is looking for new members. Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 3rd from 2:30–4:00 pm in Mr. Hahn’s room C102. All interested students are welcome.
Unified Tennis team members are reminded to turn in their red team jerseys to Mr. Sunkel in Room A139.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
