Interested in becoming part of the LHS World Scholar’s Cup team for 2016?  Last year,we took first and third places in the D.C. round and went on to do well at the Tournament of Champions at Yale University.   We are looking for new members to participate in this engaging academic activity!   Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 5th from 2:30-3:30 pm in Mr. Roberts’ room.  Please see Mr. Roberts’for more information.

Announcing our First Battle of the Cans!

Linganore and Oakdale High Schools will be competing in a canned food collection contest.  Canned foods will be collected at the boys’ basketball games between the schools on January 5th at LHS and February 5th at OHS.  Here’s how it works:  Schools earn points for cans donated at their home game.  Cans brought in by the visiting team count against that total. The SGA’s of both schools will be monitoring the collections.  The winning school will earn a large trophy to keep for the year.  No limit to the number of canned food items you can bring.  The first date is Tuesday, January 5th.  BRING THOSE CANS!!!
