Freshmen and sophomores are reminded that the Career and Technology Center’s Open House is today from 6:00-8:00 pm. This is a great way to see all of the programs available. If you are interested in attending CTC next year, please sign up to shadow a program with Ms. Riley in Student Services.
If you are participating in the NAHS 5K Color Run/Walk on November 14th, please turn in your registration form and payment to Ms. Geisser in room A207, by Tuesday November 10th.
Do you like watching Jeopardy? Do you enjoy playing QuizUp or Trivia Crack? The LHS Academic Team is a group of students who compete against students from other schools in a team trivia tournament and we are looking for new members! Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 3rd from 2:30-4:00 pm in Mr. Hahn’s room C102. All interested students are welcome.
Great news for juniors interested in a career as a physician, nurse, or researcher! Applications are now being accepted for science internships at the National Cancer Institute at Ft. Detrick. Because of our proximity to the research facility at Ft. Detrick, you are one of the few students in the United States with this opportunity. Don’t miss out! See any science teacher, Ms. Radil-Harris, or Mr. Brown for details.
On Monday, November 2nd, at 7:00 pm, the Linganore Cheerleaders will be competing in the County Competition at Tuscarora High School. Come out and support them!
Good luck to the field hockey team as they travel to Watkins Mill for their first playoff game of the season. The game starts at 7:00 pm.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
