This week, the band will rehearse MONDAY and THURSDAY from 5:30-8:30 pm in the front lot. If you are staying after school for any activities, please move your car from the student lot by 4:30 pm, so the band can begin setting up.

Tomorrow morning, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club is sponsoring a “SEE YOU AT THE POLE” event.  The FCA invites students to join them in a time of prayer and reflection on Tuesday at 7:00 am, by the flag pole, in front of the school.

Attention students not currently enrolled in an English course:  The “Poetry Out Loud” competition is once again being held at Linganore High School and you have the opportunity to participate!  The “Poetry Out Loud” competition allows students to select famous poetry to recite and perform for cash prizes and a chance to compete at the regional competition in February.  This is a national competition that thousands of students are participating in all over the country, so don’t miss out!  If interested, please contact Ms. Scuffins in room C207 before or after school.

The members of the Unified Tennis team are reminded that they will be traveling to Urbana High School after school to be rated on their tennis skills for this year’s season.  All players should meet the bus at the gym lobby at 2:35 p.m.

Thank you to the third period classes who are collecting donations for Frederick Advocates for Homeless Families. If your third period class has not yet participated, there is still plenty of time! The competition ends this Friday, and the class that collects the most items will win a bunch of donuts. Your third period teacher has a list of the items we need – and you may donate cash instead, if you don’t have time to go shopping.

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball Team – Champions of our Varsity Volleyball Tournament for the first time in its seven year history!  All team members are to be congratulated for a fine performance, and just as importantly, for being a team with “class”.  Brooke Hayden and Maddie France were named to the All-Tournament Team.
