ATTENTION SENIORS:  The deadline to order your class t-shirts, sweatshirts, or hoodies is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9th.  To place an order, please fill out your order form and return it to Mrs. Partner in room C210.  We will only place ONE order so be sure to return your order form with payment by MONDAY.  Additional order forms are available in the front office.  Any questions, see Mrs. Partner in room C210.

If you are participating in the NAHS 5K Color Run/Walk on November 14th, please turn in your registration form and payment to Ms. Geisser in room A207, by Tuesday November 10th.

Lancers, here’s a chance to spread your love of reading!  The LHS Drama Department is holding a Book Drive from November 9-22. Bring in your new or gently used children’s books to the donation box in the front office, or to the donation box at showings of Elephant and Piggie: We Are In a Play! All books will go to the Maryland Book Bank in Baltimore.

Are you interested in marine biology or conservation?  Would you enjoy meeting people from all over the world?  If so, you may want to volunteer at the National Aquarium in Baltimore this summer.  Applications are now being accepted for summer volunteers.  Stop by room C101 to pick up an application.  See Ms. Radil-Harris or Mr. Brown for more information.

Good luck to our award-winning marching band as they travel to Washington, D.C. on Saturday to serve as the official ceremonial band for an event commemorating the end of World War II, with many veterans of that war in attendance.  On Sunday, our band takes its “One Tribe” show to Hershey, PA for the Atlantic Coast Championships, competing against bands from nine states in the northeast region.  Go Lancer Band!

On Tuesday, November 10th at 3:00 pm, there will be an informative meeting in the media center for all students interested in trying out for baseball this spring.

Congratulations to the Varsity volleyball team on their first round playoff victory over Frederick last night!   The volleyball team also sends out congratulations to the girls’ soccer team on their victory over Urbana yesterday!

Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams for qualifying for states yesterday at the regional championships.  The boys team finished in second place and was led by regional champion, Micah Hewitson.  The ladies team finished in sixth place and was led by Brighid Hobson.

Both teams will compete at Hereford on November 14th.  Thanks to all who came out to support the teams!
