This week during all lunch shifts, SGA will be raising money for Relay for Life with the fundraiser Quarters for Cancer. We have raised just over $180, so check out Mr. Lake today with his ugly toupee. Drop off any change or donations today at lunch and hopefully we can hit 250$ and start the week with Mr. Burch as a Ravens fan.

The last day to turn in permission forms to shadow a CTC program is today. Please pick up a permission slip from Ms. Riley in Student Services if interested.

The voting window is now open for all FCPS students to cast their vote for the next Student Member of the Board of Education.  There are 6 candidates running for the office and complete details about each can be found at fcps.org/domain/43. To vote, students simply go to eduballot.votenet.com/fcps and login with their same username and password as the network log-in.

Congressman Van Hollen announces his Service Academy Forums for Classes entering college in 2016 or later. Interested students and parents are invited to attend and learn about admission and academic requirements for entry to U.S. military service academies. The forum will be held Thursday March 12 at McDaniel College and Thursday March 19, at the Montgomery County Executive Office building. For more information see LCDR Lane or Mrs. Riley in the guidance office

Tonight the LHS Academic Team competes against TJ and Catoctin in our last regular season match of the year. We are the second match and should start around 6:30 in the LHS auditorium. If you have been waiting to come out and see a match you only have this week and then next week’s county championship left. Tonight’s announced category round is Disney Villains and should be a lot of fun. Hope to see you there.

The National Honor Society is hosting their annual talent show to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. If you have a special talent, come out and audition on Wednesday, February 25th at 2:30 in the drama room. Just a preview of you talent is needed. Cash prizes are awarded to winners!

Members of the Unified Bocce Ball team are reminded to turn in their red team jersey to Coach Sunkel in Room A139.
