Thanksgiving break has finally came and on this day Lancer’s students and staff celebrate the holidays away from school enjoying warm delicious turkey and pumpkin pie.

Many people have special family traditions this holiday that has unique and special meaning.

Junior Erin Lafferty talked about her family’s traditions. “Thanksgiving morning my brother, mom and I watch The Macy’s Thanksgiving parade as we eat cinnamon rolls. It’s a nice family tradition that we do every year.”

Whether your family traditions include watching the famous Macy’s thanksgiving parade, watching football games or simply enjoying spending time with your family it is important to remember why we are celebrating this American holiday.

Thanksgiving isn’t simply about parades, football or shopping. Thanksgiving is about spending time with family and being thankful for the everyone and everything that is in life.

Junior Lexi Watson said, “I’m most thankful for my family and all that I have been able to do in life so far.”

Remember everyone this holiday is about being thankful, so if you are thinking about Black Friday shopping, be nice to one another and stay safe.

Lancer Media wishes everyone a happy Thanksgiving.
