“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is a popular Christmas song that has been sung by various artists, including Mariah Carey, Michael Buble, Shania Twain, Lady Antebellum, Miley Cryus, Justin Bieber, Fifth Harmony, and many more. It is an up tempo song that talks about having one true love for Christmas and not caring about gifts, as long as they have each other. Rolling Stone said that “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is one of the biggest international hit and one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Nearly half  of all students polled said that  “All I Want for Christmas is You” is their favorite Christmas song.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You”  is my favorite Christmas song because it reminds me that Christmas is about spending it with the ones you love and not caring about the presents or all the little things that people obsess over this time of year. In the lyrics she says ‘Santa won’t bring me what I really need’  which explains what Christmas is about,” said freshman Sarah Hall.

Each version of the song has different sound to it depending on the artist, whether it be more country, pop, rock, etc.

“My favorite version is the original version from Mariah Carey because I love the sound of her voice and this song really shows off her vocal range,” Hall said.

Another favorite was “Last Christmas” and “Santa Baby.”
