The eighth-grade bands from New Market Middle School and Windsor Knolls Middle School performed with the LHS Marching Band during the Frederick High Football game for the eighth-grade move-up night. The New Market Middle School band is directed by Kimberley Cramer, and the Windsor Knolls Middle School band is directed by Peter Skopek.

The eighth-grade bands practiced with the marching band before the football game and played the “National Anthem” and school fight song with the band. Throughout the game, the middle school students sat with the band in the end zone and participated in spirited support of the team.

According to band director Mr. Kevin Lloyd, this event is one of the most important for the band because it brings in so many prospective students and gives them a taste of their possible high school future.

The middle school bands will participate at the feeder pattern concert this winter.
