All Poetry Out Loud class winners who are competing in the school competition on Nov. 20, please attend a brief after-school meeting TODAY in room C207.  Ms. Scuffins will provide you with information on the school competition and upcoming dates. Great job to all those students who competed in their classroom competitions last week!

The Linganore FFA will be hosting a Dine Out Night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Frederick tonight from 6-9 pm.  15% of sales will go to the FFA program.  You must present the flyer when paying your bill.  Flyers are available in front office or see Ms. Beachy.  Come eat a delicious meal and support Linganore FFA!

A representative from Frederick Community College will be visiting Linganore on Thursday this week.  If you would like to learn more about the admissions process, please sign up to meet with them.  Seniors can sign up using NAVIANCE and Juniors should see Ms. Riley in Student Services.

Are you interested in the law?  Do you like to argue?  Then join the 2014-2015 mock trial competition, which begins this week.  The case will be either civil or criminal, and will challenge you to think critically about timely issues.  You can act as an attorney or witness and be on the prosecution/plaintiff or the defense side.  You will compete against other area high schools in the Frederick County courthouse, and you are scored by judges or attorneys.  Sound interesting?  Please see Mrs. Hendi in A213 to sign up.  All current club members need to stop by A213 on Thursday to pick up their books.  Meeting will start Wednesdays after school, starting on November 19th to prepare.

Attention all Fellowship of Christian Athlete Club Members: Please remember to bring in your wrapped and filled Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes next club day, November 19.  If you need a shoe box, please see Ms. Becker in the guidance office. Let’s try to break last year’s record of collected boxes!

And now for sports related news:

If you are interested in playing on this year’s Unified Sports Bocce Ball Team, you must attend a brief meeting after school Today. It will be held in Room A139 with Mr. Sunkel. Important paperwork will be handed out.

Good Luck to the varsity cheerleading team as they compete tonight at states! Come show your support at Harford Community College at 6:30pm.
