The SGA is sponsoring its third annual Egg Nog Jog, which will be held next Saturday the 20th. The jog is a two-mile holiday-themed race that raises funds for the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society. The catch is the challenge to drink some egg nog every quarter mile. The jog is open to everybody who wishes to attend. Registration is $10 or a new toy or game for the Quintin Ingram Toy Drive. Register at all lunch shifts starting today or online at LancerEggNogJog.com

 

All Fellowship of Christian Athlete Club Members: If you have not done so, please swing by either Mrs. Purgason’s classroom or Ms. Becker’s office to sign up to work at this Saturday’s Candy Lane. Sign-up Sheets will be outside each door. Please sign up to work one of the 2 hour blocks, 9-11:00, 11-1:00, 1-3:00.

 

Sign-ups for the West Virginia University Honor band and the County Solo and Ensemble Festival are now posted in the band room. If you have any questions about either of these activities, please see Mr. Lloyd.

 

Looking for Lancer wear for the holidays? You can pick up an order form in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts. Orders can be placed in the red box in the cafeteria or room A-133.

 

And now for sports related news…

 

Linganore’s varsity ice hockey players play as part of the Frederick County Co-op Ice Hockey team on Friday, Dec 12 at 6:30 against Carroll County on Rink 1 at Skate Frederick and then again Monday, Dec 15 at 6:40 against Oakdale High School on Rink 2 at Skate Frederick. Come on out to watch this very cool game!

 

Congratulations to the boys and girls freshman basketball teams for beating Frederick last night!

 

Unfortunately, the wrestling team lost a tough match to Urbana with a score of 57-12. Come support them on Monday as they take on Brunswick.
