Because of the delayed start, there have been some minor changes to today’s Government High School Assessment schedule. Those scheduled to take the exam this morning, stay tuned. You will be rescheduled for a later date. Those scheduled to take the exam this afternoon, you will test as scheduled. You will need to leave second period early, though, so you have time to eat lunch. Please remind your teachers to release you to the cafeteria at 10:50 today. They have a list of students who are testing this afternoon.
Also, as a reminder, the following third period classes are eating on a different lunch shift today.

For all Bocce Ball players, the next practice will be after school tomorrow, January 7th.
Any interested baseball players looking to tryout this season for the baseball team are encouraged to attend a meeting after school today at 2:30 in the media center.
Due to the impending weather, the Science National Honor Society workday at the Audubon sanctuary this Saturday has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Linganore Art department made a clean sweep in the Women’s Civic Club Youth Art Program Countywide Art Competition, taking the 6 top awards. The winners of the Drawing & Painting category are: Megan McKee, in third place, Laura Shumate, in second place, and Megan Newcomer in first place. The winners of the Digital Media category are: Lexi Day in third place, Claire Soper in second place, and Brad Eisenhauer in first place. Congratulations to all these students. Their works will now move forward to the regional competition.
The County Poetry Out Loud competition has been rescheduled to today from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Anyone planning to attend, doors will be closed once the competition starts, so please plan to be seated by 4:30. Photos will not be allowed during the competition as they will be distracting to the competitors.
