There will be NO Bocce Ball Practice after school today. The next practice will be next Tuesday, January 7th.

FIRST Team 686 is graciously accepting new members for the 2014 FIRST Robotics Competition season from Linganore High School. If you are interested or curious please be sure to attend the first team meeting at Linganore High School, Rm C127, on Saturday January 4th, 2014 from 2:00-4:30 pm. Come to the bus lot for entrance.

Due to the impending weather, the Science National Honor Society workday at the Audubon sanctuary this Saturday has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 11 to 4 p.m.

The County Poetry Out Loud competition is happening THIS FRIDAY, January 3rd from 4:30pm-6:30pm. In case of bad weather, the snow date is January 6th. Our contestant this year is the same as last year, Morgan Buchanan. Anyone planning to attend, doors will be closed once the competition starts, so please plan to be seated by 4:30. Photos will not be allowed during the competition as they will be distracting to the competitors, however we will allow time at the end of the competition for group photos. If you can’t make it, but you know Morgan, be sure to wish her good luck

Linganore Ice Hockey plays Walkersville at 8:30 on Friday night, January 3, at Skate Frederick. We crushed them last time and hope to do it again! Come be a part of the excitement!

Congratulations to the girls JV Basketball team on their victories over Mount Hebron and Quince Orchard at the Frederick Holiday Tournament.
