The Poetry Out Loud competition has once again come to LHS, and we want you to get involved.  If you are NOT in an English class this semester, please see Ms. Scuffins by Monday, Sept. 22 to participate and/or find out more information.  If you ARE in an English class this fall, stayed tuned for more information from your English teacher.

Sept 15 and 16 are senior picture days in the Theater. Students not photographed in June should receive an appointment time from Victor O’Neill Studios directly. Mrs. Roderick, in the front office, will have the master schedule. If an appointment needs to be rescheduled or a retake is needed, seniors must make an appointment first thing on, Sept 15, and talk to a photographer in person (in the Theater).

If you are a student driver and have not purchased your 2014-2015 permit, please see Ms. Roderick in the front office by the end of the day.  Beginning Monday, September 15 any ticket issued will cost $20.

Congratulations to both the JV and Varsity boys soccer teams on their wins yesterday against South Hagerstown. JV with a score of 6-1 and Varsity with a score of 6-0.

The girls varsity soccer team won 7-0 against South Hagerstown as well! Congratulations girls!

Also, Congratulations to the LHS Golf team on their victory over Urbana, handing the Hawks their first county loss in six years. Ryan Gilmatin and Matt Deschenes tied for medalist shooting 40. Cam Smith and Andrew Blockinger ground out a 45 and 46 to seal a one stroke victory.

Finally, the JV Volleyball team won against FSK with a score of 2-0. Congrats lady lancers!

Missed last friday’s football game against south carroll? Here are some of the major highlights from the game. Be sure to come out tonight in all black to support Linganore against Westminster after the tailgate at 4:45 in the parking lot.
