Anyone in the Science National Honor Society that volunteered to work at the Audrey Carroll Wildlife Sanctuary this Saturday, remember that you will be working from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M.

The French Honor Society is holding its annual French Art Contest in celebration of National French week in November. All students have the opportunity to enter one 2-D work of art inspired by a French artist or art movement. The deadline to submit art is Friday October 31. All entries must be given to Mrs.Blonder in room C229.

Algebra, Biology and English tutoring for the HSA’s will take place on Tuesday, October 7th from 2:30-3:30 in the media center.  See you there!

Today, October 3, is the Tag der Deutschen Einheit, or German Unity Day.  This commemorates the reunification of East and West Germany after the Berlin Wall “fell.”  It is a legal holiday in Germany and is as important in Germany as July 4th is in the United States.

Attention Class of 2018-If you are interested in helping with Homecoming (the parade and/or painting the hill and/or banner), please come to Student Services on Tuesday, October 7th, at 7:15 for a 5-10 minute meeting.

And now for sports related news…

The Varsity Field Hockey girls beat Frederick last night with a score of 5-0. Their next game will be Monday against Urbana. Good luck ladies!

Congratulations to our undefeated football team for taking home another win last night against Frederick with a score of 62-6.

If you are interested in Pre-Season wrestling workouts please meet in the wrestling room on Monday directly after school for a short meeting.
