LHS is hosting a Character Counts Celebration next Wed, Nov 5 through Fri, Nov 7 during all Lunch Shifts in the Cafeteria. Help build the LHS pillars of great character with your shining star! Come visit Ms. Aburto and her helpers at the Character Counts table and let your character shine!

On “Two Hour Early Dismissal” days, PM CTC Students will be dismissed from their Block Two classes at 9:20 AM to eat lunch. They need to be dismissed early so they can eat, catch their bus and be on time to CTC.

Attention to students who are involved in Poetry Out Loud, but are not in an English class this semester: You will need to visit Ms. Scuffins in C207 between Nov. 5-7 to recite your poem.  Simply stop by her room when convenient and show off your poetry skills!

All seniors, Use the upcoming long weekend to finalize your college application plans.  If you have a December 1 application deadline, you must request transcripts and letters of recommendation from your school counselor by Friday, November 7th.

Next week, an admissions representative from West Virginia University, Millersville University and Virginia Tech will be visiting.  If you would like to meet with the representative from any of these universities, please see Ms. Riley in Student Services or you can sign up with NAVIANCE.

The fall play Our Town is coming up, be sure to come see it on November 13-16. Here’s a sneak peak of the show!

And now for sports related news…

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for placing third in the 3A West Regional Championship yesterday. The ladies will advance to state championship November 8. Great job, girls!

Come out to the football game tonight at 7 against Middletown. It’s a costume out and the last home game of the regular season! See you there!
