Congratulations to all the students who have been invited to apply for membership in the Spanish Honor Society! Spanish Honor Society applications are due on Wednesday, March 19 to Senora Doughty in Room C231. The Induction Ceremony will be held April 23 in the Auditorium.

Students applying for membership in the Science National Honor Society must complete their science-related community service hours sheet by March 31, 2014.

This week’s Symphonic Band rehearsal has been moved from Tuesday to Thursday from 2:45-5:15.  Please make arrangements to attend this important rehearsal. Also, students who are traveling to Florida with the band in April are reminded to turn in any outstanding forms as soon as possible.

The Unified Track and Field Team will practice today after school, at the stadium. Also, this is a reminder to team members to turn in your registration packets to room C214 or during practice today.

AP US review scheduled for yesterday has been moved to next Monday, March 24.  The AP Psychology review is still after school this coming Thursday, March 20.

Congratulations to the LHS Pom and Dance team who attended the Mid Atlantic Pom and Dance Championships this past Saturday at the University of Maryland. The ladies performed in 5 different categories and did an amazing job! They placed 1st in High Kick, 2nd in Short Pom, Jazz, and Lyrical, and 3rd in Hip Hop!   Great job ladies!

On Sunday March 16th, Marissa de La Viez participated in the 2015 Distinguished Young Women of Frederick County Program!  She won $500 for the top Fitness award. The mission of Distinguished Young Women is to positively impact the lives of young women by promoting leadership and talent and rewarding scholarship money.
