What a wonderful way to share a cookie… share a jar of homemade cookie mix.

Cookie in a Jar

Yield: 2 dozen

Prep time: 10 mins

Level: easy

Ingredients

1 ¾ cup All-purpose Flour

¾ teaspoon baking soda

¾ teaspoon salt

½ cups of sugar

¾ cups Brown Sugar

1 ½ Semi- Sweet Chocolate Chips

Candy Cane

Materials

Rubber band

Piece of round fabric

Ribbon

Quart Jar

 

Directions:

1. In the order listed, place all dry ingredients in jar and pack down.

2. Put round fabric top on lid, then seal with rubber band.

3. To top it off, you can tie a ribbon with the recipe card and put a candy cane with the ribbon.

 

Recipe card

  1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  2.  Beat 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) softened butter or margarine, 1 large egg and teaspoon vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until blended.
  3. Add in the entire contents of the jar. Stir until combined. Shape the cookies into tablespoon. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
  4. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
