Lancer Spotlight 5/17/22: Linganore Boys track team claims county champs
May 17, 2022
On May 12, Linganore hosted this year’s Boys and Girls Outdoor Track and Field County Championship.
During the meet, Linganore took time to celebrate the seniors from each school: Tuscarora, Brunswick, Catoctin, Frederick, Middletown, Governor Thomas Johnson, Oakdale, Urbana, and Walkersville.
Going into the County Championship, Linganore Boys had high hopes to take home the title over Oakdale, and they triumphed with a significant lead. The season overall went well, with the team performing well in prior meets and also winning this year’s CMC Championship as well.
Linganore athletes will compete this May 17-May 18 at the Regional Championship Meet @ Oakdale High School and hope to be the regional champs.
Qualifying athletes will also attend the 3A State Championship Meet @ PG Sports Learning Complex on May 27-May 28.
