**Any student taking an AP course, please make sure you sign into your College Board account, or create one if you do not have an account, and join your AP Classroom. See your teacher if you have questions. If you plan to take the AP exam in May, please go to School Cash Online and pay for the exam. Deadline to pay is March 4. Please see Ms. Zietoon or Ms. Cline if you have any questions about paying for the exam.
** This morning, LHS had the pleasure of listening to the African Drum group.
They played in honor of Black/African American History Month.
**Boys Outdoor Track informational meeting will be held Wednesday 2/23 in A136 from 2:20-2:45.
**Come out & support the boys basketball team tonight as they host South Hagerstown in the last game of the regular season. Tonight is senior night for the 8 seniors on the varsity team! JV Game begins at 5:30, senior night celebration begins at 6:30, & the varsity game begins at 7:00.
**Last night the Linganore FFA Chapter participated several Regional Leadership Development Events. Haley Welty placed 3rd in the Prepared Public Speaking Event with her speech on Culture & Agriculture. The Parliamentary Procedure Team consisting of Shea Cencula, Gracie Stephens, Mikayla Burrier, Caitlyn Wall, Evan Mayhew & Emily Ausherman placed 1st. The Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team consisting of Sierra Howell, Peyton Ferro, Clare Miller, Ashton Uzarowski, Keirsten Mossburg, Marshall Stephens & Mikayla Coronel also placed 1st! Both teams and Haley will be participating the State Leadership Development Events in June. Great job!!!
**This upcoming week is National FFA week. Help out the Linganore FFA Chapter by participating in the FFA school spirit days! Tuesday the 22nd is “Anything but a Backpack” day. Challenge yourself to bring your school supplies in anything BUT a backpack. Get creative & try to be the only person with that certain idea! Your item has to be able to fit in the classroom doors, you have to be able to easily get up & down the stairs of the school. You are not allowed to use the elevator.
Wednesday the 23rd is western Wednesday, Thursday the 24th is camo day, & Friday the 25th is freedom Friday. Stay tuned next week for more info on the upcoming themes for each day!
