Double overtime begins after a hard fought first overtime.

On September 19, the Lancers lost to the Middletown Knights when the Knights scored a goal in double overtime. The game was intense and both teams put up a good fight, holding the regular game score to 0 – 0.  Unfortunately, the Lancers were not able to hold them back after the Knights scored against goalkeeper Braden Weinel during double overtime. The Lancers overall were able to hold their own through the first overtime and played efficiently.

“I think we need to improve on possession,” said Adam Liston.

The Lancers, for most of the game, hustled very well defensively but on offense seemed a bit lack-luster. Gerald Fattah  said,  “We needed to take more shots in order to win the game.”

The next game is on Tuesday, October 3 at Frederick High School. Come watch Linganore Boys’ Soccer with JV and varsity games twice a week at 7:00 PM. Their full schedule and additional information can be found on County Sports Zone.
