Little Lancers’ wish for snow with winter activities: Photo of the Day 1/10/19

The last week of the preschool is always a little hectic for the preschoolers, the parents, the teachers, and the child development students. The theme of the lessons this week is “winter,” and the students try their best to come up with a lesson plan to make sure the preschoolers leave on a good note.
“I’m sad to see Avery go because she was funny,” said Amanda Krandell (10). “She called Josh [Todd] (10) a ‘yucky ballerina!'”
When the children dispersed to their scheduled lessons, they were surprised to see super fun activities all coinciding with the winter theme. There were pom-pom snowballs for their story time, The Mitten and watercolor paint on hats. All the children were especially enthusiastic to learn this week.
At the art lesson, the Little Lancers used white crayon to draw on their white paper.
“You’re not going to see the the markings until after the water color,” said their teacher for the lesson, Claudia Bremer.
The preschoolers’ confusion quickly turned to amazement when the water color revealed their white crayon scribbles.
“When they’re dry, I’m going to glue little, white, puff balls at the top like a pom-pom hat,” said Bremer. “They’re going to be so cute!”
