Once a year, Jostens representative, Thomas Orme, comes to LHS to give a presentation about 144 different types of class rings. Traditionally, students purchase a class ring in their sophomore year. The jewelry is now much more than rings and comes in a wide variety of styles, colors, stones, metals, and prices.

Jostens.com, has rings starting at $89.00 ranging to $510.00. There are 11 collections to choose from, some of which being necklaces, bracelets, dog-tags, charms, stackable rings, and athletic rings.  They are all able to be customized down to the letter and  message engraved on them. You can choose from roughly 100 different activities to put on the sides, and many other aspects.

Orme gave a 30-minute presentation on September 12 about all the collections, rings and jewelry. The presentation consisted of a slide show, a short animated video and a speech. He will be back during lunch on September 20 and 21 to be available for purchases and questions. Informational packets included a ring catalog, an order sheet, and a ring sizing chart for accuracy. If you purchase a ring this year from any collection besides the Trade Winds collection, you will receive a free customized Linganore soft-shell jacket.
