On Wednesday, October 3rd , FCC is hosting the largest College Fair in Frederick County from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This is the best opportunity to talk to many college representatives. Also on October 3rd, Linganore is hosting a mini college fair on Main Street during lunch shifts. Over ten colleges and several branches of the military will be here to answer your questions.

This week is Start With Hello Week! Start With Hello Week raises awareness about social isolation. This is the perfect opportunity to kick off the school year and engage students in a culture of inclusiveness!

The patter of Little Lancer feet will be heard for the first time this semester on Tuesday October 2nd as our Child Development Classes welcome 17 neighborhood children to our Little Lancer program. If you are interested in this completer program, see Mrs. Lane in A124.

This month is Hispanic Heritage Month. We will be recognizing those of Hispanic descent who have accomplished amazing things during their lifetime. Today we will be recognizing ​Rebecca Lobo. American television sports analyst and former basketball player in the Women’s National Basketball Association from 1997-2003.

Homecoming tickets are available during lunch in main street. They will only be on sale until September 28th. Tickets are 22 dollars.

The Linganore Drama Club and International Thespian Society will be running a face painting booth at the Mount Airy Oktoberfest this Saturday, September 29th. If you are a current Drama Club or ITS member, or wish to be inducted into ITS this year, please sign up for a time slot to help. The sign up is posted outside D101. The Dig Pink Volleyball game vs. South Hagerstown is being held on Monday October 1st in support of the Side Out Foundation to raise money for breast cancer research. Be sure to wear pink to the game your pink to show your support.
