On Wednesday, October 3rd , FCC is hosting the largest College Fair in Frederick County from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This is the best opportunity to talk to many college representatives. Also on October 3rd, Linganore is hosting a mini college fair on Main Street during lunch shifts. Over ten colleges and several branches of the military will be here to answer your questions.

The Spring yearbook Supplements are now available! If you ordered a yearbook in the spring and did not pick up your yearbook Supplement, please stop by room A206 and see Mrs. Bozzonetti.

Senior Picture Retakes are today, September 26th and tomorrow,  September 27th from 2:00pm to 8:00 pm. Please see Ms.Cline in the front office for your picture time.

This week is Start With Hello Week! Start With Hello Week raises awareness about social isolation. This is the perfect opportunity to kick off the school year and engage students in a culture of inclusiveness!

WISE is a program developed to encourage females to participate in the fields of science and engineering; however, all students, male and female, are welcome to participate. Come listen to featured guest speaker Dr. Amy Hall, PhD, and biologist from the Food and Drug Administration. Enjoy a fall theme, science door prizes and a hands-on STEM challenge! The event is tonight from 7 to 8:15 PM at the ESSL in Frederick.

Any junior or senior interested in becoming a member of the Science National Honor Society can enter the Science NHS Google Classroom site using the Code listed below to access the application form and volunteer workdays opportunities.  See Mr. Sunkel in Room A139 to sign up for the workdays.

This month is Hispanic Heritage Month. We will be recognizing those of Hispanic descent who have accomplished amazing things during their lifetime. Today we will be recognizing ​Susana Martinez. She is an American politician and attorney that has been New Mexico’s governor since 2011 and was once the chair of the Republican Governors Association.

Homecoming tickets are available during lunch in main street. They will only be on sale until September 28th. Tickets are 22 dollars.

The Linganore Drama Club and International Thespian Society will be running a face painting booth at the Mount Airy Oktoberfest this Saturday, September 29th. If you are a current Drama Club or ITS member, or wish to be inducted into ITS this year, please sign up for a time slot to help. The sign up is posted outside D101. Linganore soccer had a tough 3-2 loss last night to oakdale,. Girls also lost to oakdale with a score of 4-0  better luck next time, lancers.
