Have you gotten to go to the fair this week? If not, don’t fret, there’s still fun to be had, you bet.
The forty-fifth annual linganore community show begins on september 30th. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event that will showcase our communities best photography, baking, gardening, and more. This event will also have various games to participate in and plenty of food to enjoy.
Today we will be recognizing Frida Kahlo for Hispanic Heritage Month. She is a notorious artist who has painted many portraits and works inspired by the nature of Mexico. Inspired by the country’s popular culture, she employed a naïve folk art style to explore questions of identity, postcolonialism, gender, class, and race in Mexican society.
The Spring Supplements are now in! If you ordered a yearbook in the spring and did not pick up your Spring Supplement, please stop by room A206 and see Mrs. Bozzonetti.
The Linganore High School mathematics honor society, Mu Alpha Theta, is accepting applications. Please pick up an application outside Mrs. Purgason’s room, A140. All applications are due Friday, September 28.
The Linganore Drama Club and International Thespian Society will be running a face painting booth at the Mount Airy Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 29th. If you are a current Drama Club or ITS member, or wish to be inducted into ITS this year, please sign up for a time slot to help. The sign up is posted outside D101. The Science National Honor Society will meet this today in Room A139 during PREP. Students can pick up an application outside of Room A139.

Any athlete trying out for a winter or spring sport can sign up for the True AP speed program. It starts Tuesday, September 25th, and runs until, November 1st, from 2:30-3:30 in the main gym. If you would like more information please see Coach Easterday in the gym hallway.
