The forty-fifth annual linganore community show begins on september 30th. Everyone is welcome to participate in this event that will showcase our communities best photography, baking, gardening, and more. This event will also have various games to participate in and plenty of food to enjoy.

The Science National Honor Society will meet this Friday, September 21st in Room A139 during PREP.  Students can pick up an application outside of Room A139.

Hey Lancers, Interested in getting hands on experience with National Security?  Interested in pursuing a career in conflict resolution and communication? If you are, see Mr. Burch about being nominated for the National Youth Leadership Forum: National Security for Diplomacy, Intelligence and Defense!  So please, join past Lancers in this great opportunity! The deadline is this Friday the 21st!

This week marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. We will be recognizing those of Hispanic descent who have accomplished amazing things during their lifetime. Today we will be recognizing ​Alejandro González Iñárritu, Mexican director and five time Oscar winner.

The poll of the week is favorite fair activity: rides, food, exhibits, or entertainment. You can vote online by checking out lhs journalism on twitter.

The Linganore robotics team, Bovine Intervention, will be competing this weekend, September 22nd at McDonough High School. They will be competing against other teams in the Maryland-Virginia area in an event called Battle O´ Baltimore. Good luck Lancers!!

If you are struggling to manage your stress this school year, consider going to Sarah Buckley’s Gold Award workshop on Sunday, September 23rd. You can earn service hours for attending.

Jostens will be here today and tomorrow during all lunch shifts to take orders for class rings. You can also order online at Jostens.com. If you did not receive a packet to place an order and would like to , please see Ms. Cline in the front office.

Student drivers will need to purchase a parking pass and park only in Authorized Student Parking. The cost is $20. Parking applications can be found in the front office. Students without a parking pass will be ticketed beginning Friday.

Any athlete trying out for a winter or spring sport can sign up for the True AP speed program.  It starts Tuesday, September 25th, and runs until, November 1st, from 2:30-3:30 in the main gym. If you would like more information please see Coach Easterday in the gym hallway.
