Do you like Summer, Sun, Water, and Money?? If so, then you will want to speak with Community Pools during lunch today. They will be at Linganore to share their summer job opportunity lifeguarding at area pools. Stop by their table to learn more. Don’t worry, training is provided.
For anyone interested in speaking with college representatives, Bridgewater College will be here today during PREP to speak with Junior and Seniors.
Underclass Makeup Pictures will be on Wednesday, October 24th in D101. Times are posted in the cafeteria. If you were dissatisfied with your original picture, you MUST return your original portrait package to the photographer in order to receive a new package.
Seniors. Please be sure you select your yearbook pose through Victor O’Neill studios by Oct 31, otherwise, a default photo will appear in the yearbook. Also, your Senior Quote form is due by November 1 to Mrs. Bozzonetti in room A206. Be sure your name is on the form.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be administered at Linganore High School the morning of November 8th. Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students who are interested in the military or who want to assess their vocational interests and aptitude are encouraged to take the ASVAB. Sign-up with Ms. Failor in Student Services by Friday, November 2.
If you are interested in marine biology and would like to interact with people from all over the world, consider applying for one of the summer volunteer opportunities at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Stop by C103 to pick up the application packet. Students in grades 9-12 may apply.
Today the girls’ volleyball teams are facing off against Catoctin. The match will be held at Catoctin high school, good luck lancers!
Senior, Ryan McFadden shot 80 and finished 15th out of 69 boys during the state championship golf tournament yesterday, and made the cut for day 2 of the finals tomorrow. Also, Junior, Payton Smith shot 87 and finished 17th out of 37 girls and missed the cut by one spot. It was a very good showing by our Lancers, and Linganore wishes Ryan all the best in the Finals on Wednesday.
