Last night the JV girls basketball team won against Frederick, 43-36. The boys’ varsity team won 76-72 and the girls’ varsity team took an unfortunate loss, 58-29. Good job to all of our players!

Linganore girls swimming and diving won their opening meet against Urbana, 107-69. The boys fell 40-122. Swimmers who won multiple events were Megan Brobst, Lyra Garrett, Taylor Koch, Emily Lotito, Rachel McCoy, and Katie Roach. Congratulations!

The Boys Lacrosse preseason meeting is today in the media center from 2:35 pm to 3:05 pm. Be sure to attend to get as much information as possible for the upcoming season.

Today for the 12 days of Christmas, let’s take a look at how they celebrate Christmas in France.

Christmas markets in France are lit up bright during the holiday season. During the weeks leading up to the holiday, people can take part in shopping or just enjoying the seasonal cheer.

Are you a junior with a strong interest in science? The United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick is now accepting applicants for their research internships. They begin this summer for weighted credit. These internships last for a full year, so you would attend school for a half day your senior year.  See Mr. Radil-Harris or Mr. Brown for details.

Students who signed up for the Pit Orchestra for Beauty and the Beast will need to come to Mr. Dye’s office after school today to sign out their music books. Students will need to practice for their first rehearsal on January 2nd at 2:30 p.m. in the Band Room.  Please also get the Pit’s class code for Google Classroom. The code can be found outside of D113, Mr. Dye’s room.
