The Linganore Performing Arts Department has been hard at work getting ready for the spring musical, Footloose. Let’s take a look.
Show dates and times are April 26th, 27th, and 28th at 7pm with MAT-IN-AY shows on the 28th and 29th at 2 PM. See Mrs. Smithhisler in D101 with any questions.
Senior, Sarah Hall, is conducting a service project where she is collecting lightly used shoes and donating them to One World Running who refurbishes the shoes and distributes them around the world. There is a collection basket for donations outside of Ms. Becker’s office in Student Services. All donations must be made by April 30th.
The 28th Annual Art Show is this Thursday April 26th in the auxiliary gym from 5:30-7 pm. The National Art Honor Society induction will be that evening at 6 pm during the art show. The art show will remain open on Friday during 1st, 2nd and 3rd periods only. Please stop by and see all the fabulous works of art from our many talented students!!
Tonight from 5-8 pm the class of 2021 will be holding a fundraiser at Chick-fil-a in Frederick by the new Walmart. Please come out to support your fellow Lancers at Chick-fil-a! Make sure to tell them you’re with Linganore!
The Harry Potter alliance is having their annual Quidditch tournament on May 21st. Teams must consist of seven people, and may be co-ed. Sign up or visit the learning commons for more details.
WISE is meeting tonight from 7-8:15 PM at the FCPS E-S-S-L in Frederick. The featured speaker is Melissa Boyle, a ranger with Maryland Park Service. Come enjoy a spring theme, science door prizes and a hands-on activity! No registration is needed.
The JV baseball team played in a tough game against middletown but unfortunately lost. Better luck next time!
Both softball teams won in their games yesterday. The JV team played against Middletown and won 15 to 4. The Varsity team played against Urbana and won 11 to 1. Great job ladies!
The girls lacrosse teams played yesterday. The JV team faced off against middletown and the varsity team played against Walkersville. The varsity team unfortunately lost.
The boys varsity lacrosse team also played last night against Walkersville. The team won in a decisive victory with a score of 17 to 4. Great job boys!
