On October 22, the SGA set up an Anti-Bullying table was set-up in the cafeteria. The idea is that this will bring awareness to bullying and also to help prevent it.

Senior, Alyssa Danner, who was running the table explained the purpose. “This week Linganore is trying to create awareness to stop bullying by hanging cards around that say to take a stand against bullying.”

The cards and bracelets have STAND on them. STAND is an acrostic for:Show good character everyday; treat others the way you want to be treated; always report bullying to an adult at school or home; never bully others or laugh with a bully; and do my best to help anyone who is bullied.

By signing the pledge card, the student is saying that they will abide by these rules to prevent bullying, and making Linganore a better place.
