On December 11, the drama department started their spring season with the beginning of auditions for the upcoming musical Beauty and the Beast.

After weeks of preparation, students began the three-day process of auditions. Acting auditions were on December 11, with the next two days set aside for singing and dancing.

Senior theater student Maggie Clugston was among the students gathered in D101 for the audition process. Clugston was student director for the fall play Almost, Maine.

“The audition process is nerve-wracking because of the uncertainty,” said Clugston. “But it’s completely worth all of the effort and the nerves the moment you spot your name on the cast list.”

The drama department’s production of Beauty and the Beast is coming soon. Tickets will be available at showtix4u.com. Consider seeing the show in April to show your support.
