Class of 2018: Only a dozen days left for seniors!
May 7, 2018
These three seniors are ready for their last 12 days of high school!
LHS senior, Lily McCoy will be attending University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in the fall, she plans to continue her swimming career and major in biology. McCoy says she will miss Friday night football games with her friends most because of the spirit and atmosphere when the lancers scored. Although McCoy is happy to move to the next stage of her life, she will miss some of high school’s best days. McCoy says she is excited for the new stage of her life and is ready to take it on.
LHS senior, Rafi Rios will be attending Towson University and is undecided in his major. Rios says its okay to not have a solid plan yet, because sometimes you have to figure out what you would like to do with your life before you commit to something, and there’s nothing wrong with that. He chose Towson University because he liked the availability of the courses and the campus. Rios wants undecided seniors to know that its okay to get your feet wet first in college before you decide what you really want to do. Being undecided when going into college is stressful, but its not the end of the world.
LHS senior, Arne Lassen will be attending a trade school in Baltimore, MD to specialize in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration engineering technology. Lassen chose an alternate route to college but still equally important. In trade school, you learn skills that will prepare you for life in a career, just like a University or community college would, except it focuses on the specific needs of that career. Trade school is a great option for someone that is sure in what they would like to spend their life doing.
Good luck in the next great stages of your lives seniors, congratulations!
