Drake’s PREP class wins tolerance poster contest
October 9, 2017
On September 27th, Principal Nancy Doll and assistant principals Michelle Gilmore and Chris Bittner judged tolerance posters the PREP classes displayed on the door to each room. Mrs. Sharon Drake’s PREP class won.
On 9/11, each PREP class watched a video starring John Cena. The famous wrestler talked about tolerance and how America is so diverse.
The PREP classes each designed posters surrounding this theme. The posters had to include a definition of tolerance, a quote about tolerance, and describe who their class is as a whole.
Assistant principle Michelle Gilmore said, “We liked that the poster was school colors and that it represented the entire school. Also it had the student names on it to represent the whole class.”
Digital communications created a video based on the John Cena video which can be found on TheLance.
Mrs. Tracey Bozzonetti’s graphic design students, Kat Gerogiannis, Kayla Pace, and Brooke Gooding made a poster that represents Linganore’s diversity.
You can find more information about tolerance in the John Cena video.
