The Maryland State Food Bank is hosting a “Kids Helping Kids” challenge among all Maryland schools throughout the month of October. The challenge is to collect as many non-perishable food items as possible to help stock local food banks for the winter. Linganore has registered as an official participant!  This food drive will be a challenge among prep classes. The prep class that brings in the most items will receive Krispy Kreme Donuts!

Sophomores  interested in any of the programs at the Career Tech Center, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, October 24th, in the theatre. If interested, please sign up in the Student Services Office by Thursday, October 19th.

The Dance Club is hosting a benefit dance recital on November 28th and proceeds to got to Lily Weaver and her family. Auditions for the recital will be held on Monday October 23rd in the theatre. National Art Honor society will be hosting a paint night, Monday October 23rd from 7-9 in room A211. The cost is 15 dollars for students and 20 for adults. Visit Ms.Geisser in room A211 to register

Both boys and Girls soccer are facing off against middletown tonight, boys are at home and girls are away. JV starts at 5:30 and Varsity starts at 7:00

In the CMC Golf championship Lhs came in third and ryan mcfadden won individually.

Anchor 1: The field hockey team will be have a Jersey Mike’s Fundraiser October 17th-19th at the the Frederick and Mt. Airy locations. Come between 10am and 9pm any day with a copy or photo of the flyer that are outside of Ms. Bakers room B123.

The girls varsity soccer team is having a winter clothes drive during their senior night on Tuesday October 17th. They will be collecting new or lightly used  hats, gloves, scarves, socks, coats, pajamas to help out Frederick County families. The drive starts at 5:30 at the stadium.

The Linganore Golf Team finished 3rd yesterday and the CMC championships with junior, Ryan McFadden, winning the Boys Individual Medalist Honors.  Golf Team Captain and Senior, Drew Twillman finished 4th overall.
