All students who are PARCC testing this afternoon will be dismissed from PREP at 10:30 am to eat lunch. Students must report to their testing rooms by 11:05 am.

Juniors and seniors attending Prom are reminded that guests who do not attend Linganore High School must present a photo ID when they check in at Prom.

Pre-ordered yearbooks will be distributed to seniors during the Senior Picnic on Monday, May 15th, during fourth block.  Yearbooks will be available for seniors to purchase, on that day only, for $80 cash.  Otherwise, seniors can pick up or purchase a yearbook, after May 15th, in room A206, before or after school, or during first or third blocks.

Pre-ordered yearbooks for underclassmen will be distributed during lunch on Friday, May 22nd.  Extra yearbooks will be available for purchase, on a first come basis, on Thursday, June 1st, starting at 2:15 pm in room A206, for $80 cash or check made payable to LHS.

Attention seniors:  Don’t forget to clear your obligations by Tuesday, May 23rd, in order to receive your diploma at graduation.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Shapiro in the front office.

The SGA has a donation box at the front of the cafeteria, during every lunch shift, for the American Cancer Society’s ‘’.  For every dollar that you donate, you will receive a chance to win two Shawn Mendes tickets!  You have until Friday, May 12th, to donate.

The third annual Quidditch Tournament will be held Wednesday, May 17th.  Teams of 7-9 can sign up in the Media Center. Teams must have at least two of each gender playing at all times. The cost is $25 per team.  A limited number of teams are allowed, so sign-up early.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Thompson in the Media Center.

The journalism class is hosting a contest for seniors to win concert tickets! Come to room C203 and answer 17 questions for the Class of 2017, with the theme of “Oh, the places you’ll go!” The winner will be announced during the senior picnic.

In sports, both the boys and girls Varsity lacrosse teams are participating in their sectional quarterfinals today at 5:30 pm.  The boys will take on South Hagerstown at home, while the girls will be playing Middletown at Middletown.
