AP Psychology will begin to hold review sessions on Thursdays during PREP each week, as well as Thursdays, after school, twice a month.  The schedule and a sign-up sheet for PREP will be posted outside of Mrs. Diggs’ door.  Make sure to prepare for that!

This Saturday, we will host our 19th annual Mr. Linganore contest.  The show begins at 7:00 pm. Many kids and staff members have been busy working to prepare a great night of entertainment.  All of the proceeds from the event go toward academic awards and recognition at LHS.  Part of the pre-show excitement is the annual lunch competitions which will be held today during all three lunch shifts. The boys will compete as follows:

1st Lunch – They will be decorating a cake in the theme of their selected royal character.

2nd Lunch – They will be composing letters to their sweetheart using the sweetheart candies.

3rd lunch – They will be building towers using toothpicks and gumdrops.

Class of 2019 will be having a fundraiser on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Mt. Airy California Tortilla.  Just mention you are there to support the Class of 2019!

Congratulations to Linganore FFA members Austin Welty, Tabitha Reeder, Brianna Mallick and Abby Kurupas, for participating in the Regional Creed Speaking Event last night at Walkersville.  Also, congratulations to Junior Extemporaneous Speaking participants Ryan Mondonedo for placing 1st, Nicole Muller for placing 3rd and Karly Fink for placing 4th.  These three individuals will represent Linganore in the State FFA Leadership Event in June.  In the Senior Extemporaneous Speaking, Shelby Iager, Emily Lindsey and Jordan Cencula participated in this event, with Shelby Iager finishing 2nd in the region.  Shelby will be competing at the State FFA Convention in June.  Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to the following “STAR” students!  They are each being recognized for demonstrating excellence in Academics, Accountability or Attitude:  Kyle Austin, Maya Hannon, Matt Honchalk, Autumn Frazier, Victoria Rausch, Emma Ruch and Amanda Schauberger.

Unfortunately, our girls’ basketball team lost to Frederick last night. Congratulations on a great season, girls!

The Varsity tennis teams are also hosting their annual Quarter Auction Fundraiser on Friday, March 10th.  Doors open at 6:00 pm.  The event starts at 7:00 pm.
