On May 18th and 19th, Mr. Lloyd brought the blues and jazz music to the students in the cafeteria.  The new blues band played on the 18th. The jazz ensemble played on the 19th.  The students of the blues band were excited to show their classmates what they have been practicing for the past few months.

The group was just recently brought together to perform at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Remembrance and received a standing ovation.

The music department has the largest body of student participation from marching band and other band related classes.  With this new exposure to a new type of music Mr. Lloyd and the members of the music department hope to show other students about the possibility to check out the music department.
