JV field hockey loses against Winters Mill at the Pink-Out game: Photo Of The Day 10/16/17

The JV girls field hockey team had their seventh game, and fifth loss of the season against Winters Mill at home. IThe final score of the game was 2-0. This was the team’s Pink-Out game to support breast cancer awareness. 

Field hockey sold pink headbands in advance of the game to raise money for research.  October 17 and 18, the field hockey teams have a fundraiser at Jersey Mike’s (Frederick and Mt. Airy). 

The record of the team is 2-5. 

Sarah Blankenship, a member of the Class of 2020 and defensive player on the team, said, “We try to help each other and work hard and do our best.”

Blankenship started playing field hockey for Linganore as a freshman. Sarah said, “I love playing with my teammates. We have a lot of fun together.”

The team captains are Megan Plazinski, Class of 2020, Shayna Clark, Class of 2021 and Jordan Webb, Class of 2021.

JV plays again on Wednesday against Catoctin and a tournament at Urbana on Friday.
