The Science National Honor Society will have their 3rd workday at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary this Saturday, November 4th from 9 am to 12 noon. Members are reminded to bring work gloves, hand saws, pruners, and loppers.

Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia will be hosting its annual Mid-Atlantic Honor Band Festival from January 19th to the 21st. If you are interested in being nominated for this group, please sign up in the band room or see Mr. Lloyd for more information.

The deadline to register for the December SAT is tomorrow. This is the last SAT until March 2018. Visit the link below to register.

Seniors, if you have not already turned in your transcript request for colleges with a December 1 deadline, it must be turned in by Friday, November 3.

Do you like to argue? Are you interested in working in the legal field? Then mock trial might be for you! The 2017-2018 mock trial team will hold informational and planning meetings this Thursday, November 2nd and next Tuesday, November 7th from 2:30 to 3:30 in Room A213. Want to learn more? Are you a fan of trivia games? Do you like watching Jeopardy? Do you enjoy playing QuizUp or Trivia Crack? The LHS Academic Team is a group of students who compete against students from other schools in a team trivia tournament, and they’re looking for new members. The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 7th from 2:30 to 4:00 in Mr. Hahn’s room, C102. All interested students are welcome.

Thursday, November 2nd is class color day. Come to school wearing your class color to show your school spirit! Freshmen are red, Sophomores are yellow, Juniors are blue, and Seniors are tie dye! Make sure you participate to support your class.

Yesterday, the Little Lancers went Trick-or-Treating throughout the school during second period. Participating classes handed out candy and other goods as the kids came door-to-door in their costumes.

The final count for the Kids Helping Kids food drive is one thousand one hundred and six items. Ms. Henry’s prep class will have their Donut Party this Friday. But just because this drive has ended doesn’t mean that our generosity stops here. Local food banks are still in need of food. Let’s go, Lancers!

Boys Varsity Soccer lost their playoff game against Frederick last night 1-2, ending this year’s season. Christian Nolan scored the goal for Linganore. Better luck next year.

Girls Varsity Soccer won their playoff game against Tuscarora last night 2-0 with hailey Barge and Ashley Yurich both scoring goals. Way to go, girls!

Tonight JV Football is taking on Urbana away at 4:15. Come out to support the team!

Boys JV and Varsity Basketball Try Out Sign ups are up until November 14th. Stop by Coach Kraft’s office in B102 for the paper work. You will not be able to participate in tryouts without proper paperwork filled out.
