On November 14, eight athletes signed their letters of intent, including senior Will Pellicier. Pellicier will be attending Stockton College in New Jersey to play lacrosse. This season will be his third year on varsity as a midfielder. He has been playing lacrosse since sixth grade and works very hard on and off the field.

Along with being an athlete Will is an academic student. Assistant Coach Sowyer said, “Will has got a motor. This guy does not stop. He also does not stop in the classroom.”

Will said, “I’m excited to go on and play lacrosse in college. It’s always been fun to me.”

Last year as a midfielder Will scored eight goals last year and had 12 assists.

In addition to lacrosse, Will plays football. He started playing football freshman year. After football ends, it’s all lacrosse for Will. He plays for the club team, Lax Factory, and also plays for the school’s indoor team.

Although Will is excited to play in college, he said that he will miss playing with Linganore with all the players he’s played with since freshman year.

After last year’s state championship win, the boys will be returning looking towards a back-to-back win. Players like Will and Matt Honchalk, who also committed to Stockton, will be key players to the team.

Coach Sowyer said, “Our team couldn’t do what it does without the collective effort of everyone, especially those signing today.”
