May 24, 2016 marks the first annual Drive your Tractor to school competition. Students and staff drove multiple sized tractor to school to show off their agricultural muscle.  While this is a long-standing tradition, Drive Your Tractor to School competition is new this year.

Competitors included Brian McCuller (CaseIH Magnum 190), Dustin Barnes (New Holland TI90),  Matt Williams (John Deere 790), Cody Keith (1978 White Field Boss), and Brad Wentz (Kubota L5740). Mr. Sharon Smith “drove” her McCormick Farmall toy pedal tractor.

“I pedaled it down the driveway, and it was really difficult,” said Smith.

“It’s pretty cool that they’d have this thing for us seniors,” said the winner Wentz. He will receive his prize at the senior’s graduation practice.

“I wish they had started this earlier so I could bring more tractors ’cause I got plenty of em,” said Williams.

“I will definitely be driving my tractor to school next year,” said Barnes.

Even though most students can’t participate in this event, simply because they don’t own a tractor, it is still cool to see the those that do come the school’s parking lot.

“It was pretty cool that the students could participate in this event,” said Jeremy Brown.
